You play as Odds: humans who, after surviving a near-death experience, had a latent virus in their bodies transformed into a “OddCell,” awakening extraordinary powers. But forget the caped heroes. Being a Odd is carrying a burden. Your powers are unstable, dangerous, and attract unwanted attention from The Dome and other factions. In Oddcell, power is a tool for survival, not a symbol of status or glamour.

What is The Tangle?

That's one of Oddcell's big questions. The Dome is the central government offering security, order, and stability within its massive fortress-cities. To some, they are humanity's last hope. To others, they are tyrants using advanced tech and military force for absolute control—hunting Singulars and suppressing any dissent. Whether they are heroes or villains depends on your perspective… and which side of the wall you stand on.

Oddcell's power system was designed to reflect what it truly means to be a Odd. With Potential, you plan your power evolution from the start, but only access it gradually. With Collapse, you can risk everything—spending a Benny to attempt to unlock future power all at once, achieving incredible feats… but failures can yield disastrous results, including serious injury or death. It's a high-risk, high-reward system.
